About Us
The CoreTechs Cycling Team was founded in 2009. We are a Northern California race team and are a USA Cycling licensed club.
Our mission is to enhance our riders enjoyment when they are riding their bikes and provide teammates and teamwork when racing. We are a group of like minded cyclists who are into riding hard, fast and often. We do our best to develop strong camaraderie, fun competition and good teamwork. We also do our best to remember this is our hobby, not our profession. We want to be the strongest rider we can be, but still be a decent human being. Our guys are capable of smiling during a ride and resist the urge to head wag with that display of smug superiority you so often see from other cyclists. We have a blast with cycling and this team!
The 'CoreTechs Club Race Team' (CCRT) will have a primary purpose of developing our masters racers and provide a place for our "group ride" experts. Guys that love to ride the groups but just not into the racing as much. This way you will have teammates for Spectrum/Noon and the rest. Also, this team enables us to take on strong Cat 3/4's that either want to race the Cat 3/4 races, race sporadically or get more serious and go for upgrade points to get to a 2.
The second 'Team within Team' (TWT) is a group of Cat 1/2's that race a lot, put a lot of time into racing and compete with the agro teams out there. In 2014 TWT won the 45+ 1/2/3 Nor Cal team title, besting 48 other strong squads! In 2015 we repeated as top team! TWT only races Master's Cat 1/2/3 races and utilizes race tactics, protected riders and pre planned race strategies. TWT is made up of guys that have had excellent results in past years and are dedicated to the sport. They race in the 45+ group, but will race with the kids (35+ and a P/1/2 race now and then) many times through out the year.
